IPSF-PERSILAT, in its efforts to implement sports activities with integrity and fairness, strongly upholds the principles of fair competition for all participants in Pencak Silat, including athletes, coaches, and management.
IPSF-PERSILAT continuously provides a safe environment in both sports management and competition, where all individuals are treated with respect and dignity, and where priority is given to safety and well-being, ensuring everyone can enjoy their rights within the Pencak Silat environment.
Misconduct and Its Impact
Misconduct, harassment, and abuse—as mentioned in the IPSF Code of Ethics—can impact athletes of all ages. Athletes themselves may also be perpetrators, and such situations may involve coaches, managers, officials, and management.
These conditions may occur both offline and online and can negatively affect:
- Athlete performance (during and outside competition)
- Mental health and psychological well-being
- Confidence and career development
Similar impacts may also affect coaches, referees, jurors, technical delegates, and all individuals in the Pencak Silat environment.
Whistleblower Reporting System
To address such issues, IPSF-PERSILAT has established a voluntary whistleblower reporting system, allowing individuals to report:
- Misconduct
- Ethical violations
- Abuse or inappropriate behavior
All reports are kept confidential, ensuring that individuals can report without fear or concern.
Education on Sport Integrity
IPSF-PERSILAT conducts education programs on Sport Integrity during its events to ensure that athletes, coaches, and all stakeholders understand their rights and responsibilities.
