Iran Pencak Silat Association is the official organization responsible for the promotion and development of Pencak Silat in Iran. The sport was formally introduced in 2009, when representation was granted to Homayoun Khorram by PERSILAT on 21 June 2009.
Following this recognition, Pencak Silat was officially registered under the national Kung Fu Federation on 4 July 2009, receiving authorization to operate and expand within the country. This marked the beginning of its structured growth and nationwide development.
Since its establishment, the federation has experienced rapid expansion and now maintains a strong national presence:
- Clubs: More than 500 clubs across 29 provinces
- Athletes: Over 12,000 practitioners
- Coaches: More than 700
- Referees & Jurors: More than 400
The federation actively participates in international competitions, including events such as the Asian Championship and Middle East Tournament (2023) in Dubai, contributing to Iran’s growing presence on the global Pencak Silat stage.
Through its extensive network, experienced leadership, and commitment to excellence, the Iran Pencak Silat Association continues to play a significant role in advancing Pencak Silat both nationally and internationally.
