The Belgium Open Pencak Silat International Championship 2026 was successfully held
from 24–26 April 2026 in Schoten, Belgium, as part of the celebrations marking the 25th
Anniversary of the Belgian Pencak Silat Federation.
The event welcomed athletes, coaches, referees, officials, and supporters from across
numerous European nations, alongside delegations from Indonesia, Malaysia, and
Singapore, further strengthening international cooperation and friendship within the
global Pencak Silat community.
The championship was honoured by the presence of representatives from PERSILAT
(International Pencak Silat Federation), members of the Indonesian Embassy, and
officials from the European Pencak Silat Federation (EPSF), reflecting the strong
collaboration between international, diplomatic, and continental stakeholders in
supporting the development of Pencak Silat.
Throughout the three-day competition, athletes showcased a high standard of
performance across both Tanding and Seni categories, demonstrating technical
excellence, sportsmanship, and the continued growth of the sport throughout Europe
and beyond.
PERSILAT and EPSF congratulate the Belgian Pencak Silat Federation, the organising
committee, officials, volunteers, and all participating delegations for the successful
delivery of this milestone event. The Belgium Open continues to be one of the premier
competitions on the European Pencak Silat calendar, providing valuable opportunities
for athlete development, cultural exchange, and international cooperation.
We look forward to welcoming the international Pencak Silat community back to
Belgium for the next edition of the Belgium Open in 2027.

Thankyou to European Pencak Silat Federation for the pictures regarding the event.
