Mr. Mohd Iqbal is a dedicated Pencak Silat coach, mentor, and technical expert from India, with extensive experience in athlete development and high-performance training. Over the years, he has played a significant role in strengthening Pencak Silat at grassroots, state, and national levels, particularly in Jammu & Kashmir.
As a former athlete, he represented India at the 2nd Asian Pencak Silat Championship in 2016 and actively competed in national championships across multiple weight categories between 2015 and 2018. His competitive experience laid the foundation for his transition into coaching and technical development.
Mr. Iqbal has since established himself as a key figure in Indian Pencak Silat coaching. He served as a coach for India at the prestigious 2018 Asian Games, contributing to athlete preparation at one of the highest levels of international competition. He has also served as a national coach in multiple World and Asian Pencak Silat Championships.
Beyond competition, he is widely recognized for his commitment to youth development. He has been actively involved in identifying and nurturing talent, conducting training camps, workshops, and coaching clinics, and mentoring athletes who have gone on to achieve success at international levels.
