Mr. Megat Zulkarnain bin Omardin is a prominent leader in the development and promotion of Pencak Silat in Malaysia and at the international level. With extensive experience in both sports administration and public service, he has played a significant role in strengthening institutional frameworks and advancing the sport’s visibility.
He currently serves as the President of the Persekutuan Silat Kebangsaan Malaysia, where he has been instrumental in guiding national strategies, athlete development, and organizational growth. His leadership has contributed to the continued progress and recognition of Pencak Silat within Malaysia.
In addition, Mr. Megat holds the position of Vice President within the Olympic Council of Malaysia Committee, where he contributes to broader sports governance and policy development at the national level.
Beyond sports administration, he has also served as the Political Secretary to the Deputy Prime Minister of Malaysia, reflecting his involvement in governance and public affairs. This diverse experience enables him to bring strategic insight and leadership to the international Pencak Silat community.
As PERSILAT Deputy, he supports the federation’s leadership in expanding global outreach, strengthening member federations, and promoting Pencak Silat as a recognized international sport.
