Mr. Indro Catur Haryono is a highly accomplished Pencak Silat coach and former international athlete from Indonesia, widely recognized for his outstanding contribution to elite athlete development and high-performance coaching.
He began his journey as a competitive athlete, achieving a Silver Medal at the World Pencak Silat Championship in 1994. This early success laid the foundation for his transition into coaching, where he would go on to become one of the most influential figures in Indonesian Pencak Silat.
Since 2002, Mr. Indro has served as the Head Coach of the Indonesia Pencak Silat National Team, leading athletes across multiple international competitions and contributing significantly to Indonesia’s dominance in the sport. His coaching philosophy emphasizes technical excellence, discipline, and consistent performance at the highest level.
In recognition of his expertise, he was appointed Chairman of the National Pencak Silat Training Institute (2021–2025), where he has overseen the development of structured training systems and elite athlete preparation programs.
At the international level, he has been serving as the Chairman of the Coaching Institution of the International Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF – PERSILAT) since 2020. In this role, he is responsible for advancing coaching standards, developing certification systems, and strengthening global coaching frameworks for Pencak Silat.
