About Member

Ms. Diana Kasanangali is a highly accomplished Pencak Silat athlete, referee, and technical leader from the Netherlands, with over four decades of experience in the sport. Renowned for her excellence in artistic Pencak Silat and officiating, she has played a pivotal role in the development and standardization of refereeing and judging systems at both national and international levels.

Her journey began as a competitive athlete in 1978, where she quickly rose to prominence, achieving multiple national, European, and world-level titles. Her achievements include gold medals at the World Pencak Silat Championship, along with multiple European championship titles, establishing her as one of the leading figures in Pencak Silat history.

Following her successful athletic career, Ms. Diana transitioned into officiating and technical development. She became a National Wasit Jury in 1983 and has served as an International Wasit Jury since 2002. Her expertise has contributed significantly to maintaining fairness, consistency, and high technical standards in competitions worldwide.

In addition to officiating, she has held key leadership roles within the Netherlands Pencak Silat Federation, including Board Member and Treasurer. She has also been actively involved in training and developing referees and judges, serving as a national and European-level trainer.

 

As Chairwoman of Artistic Pencak Silat in PERSILAT, she continues to contribute to the promotion, preservation, and advancement of artistic disciplines within the sport on a global scale.
