About Federation

The Uzbekistan Pencak Silat Federation is the official governing body responsible for the development and promotion of Pencak Silat in Uzbekistan. The journey of Pencak Silat in the country began in 2009, when it was first introduced by Sardor Tashhadjayev.

Following its introduction, significant efforts were undertaken to expand and organize the sport across the nation. These efforts led to a major milestone in 2011, when Pencak Silat was officially registered as a recognized sports discipline in Uzbekistan, paving the way for structured growth and institutional support.

The federation itself was formally established in 2015 and operates under the recognition of the Ministry of Justice, ensuring its legal and organizational framework. Since then, it has been actively working to develop athletes, coaches, and officials while promoting participation at both national and international levels.

Through its steady progress and structured development, the Uzbekistan Pencak Silat Federation continues to strengthen the presence of Pencak Silat in Central Asia and contribute to its global expansion.
