The UAE Pencak Silat Community (UAEPSC) is the official body responsible for the development and promotion of Pencak Silat in the United Arab Emirates. Originally established as the UAE Pencak Silat Federation on 10 June 2022, the organization was restructured and renamed on 22 August 2024 in accordance with the requirements of the UAE Ministry of Sports.
The community consists of multiple active perguruans and clubs, including Sunda Pajajaran, ITK Abu Dhabi, Tapak Suci, Panglipur, Merpati Putih, and the Pencak Silat Masterclass Club. Together, they form a growing network of approximately 200 members, including 30 athletes, 20 officials, and 5 coaches. The community reflects a diverse and inclusive participation base, with around 150 male and 50 female practitioners.
UAEPSC has played a major role on the global stage, serving as the host and organizer of the 20th World Pencak Silat Championship 2024 and the 5th World Junior Pencak Silat Championship 2024, held in Abu Dhabi from 18 to 22 December 2024. This milestone highlights the UAE’s increasing prominence in the international Pencak Silat community.
Through strong leadership, active participation, and international engagement, the UAE Pencak Silat Community continues to expand the reach of Pencak Silat in the region while contributing significantly to its global development.
