About Federation

The Federation of Pencak Silat of Ukraine is the official organization responsible for the promotion and development of Pencak Silat in Ukraine. Officially established on 11 December 2025 and registered with the State Register Agency of Legal Entities of Ukraine, the federation represents a new and developing presence of the sport in Eastern Europe.

The federation is led by Artur Sedrakyan, a distinguished martial artist holding the title of Master of Sports of Ukraine, 3rd Dan Black Belt, and multiple-time Ukrainian champion in Taekwondo WTF. His experience has contributed significantly to the structured introduction of Pencak Silat in the country.

Currently, the federation consists of approximately 6 members and 50–60 active athletes, focusing on grassroots development and training. Activities are primarily centered in Odessa, where the main club operates and conducts regular training sessions.

A notable milestone in the federation’s development was the visit of the Ambassador of the Republic of Indonesia to Ukraine, along with embassy representatives, who supported the federation by providing equipment and encouragement for athletes.

The federation maintains close connections with the international Silat community through PERSILAT and aims to expand participation, develop technical expertise, and represent Ukraine in international competitions.

With a strong leadership background and growing athlete base, the Federation of Pencak Silat of Ukraine is steadily building the foundation for the sport’s future in the country.
