Pencak Silat Association of Thailand (PSAT) is the official governing body responsible for the promotion and development of Pencak Silat in Thailand. Established in 1990, the association has grown into a well-structured and active organization, contributing significantly to the sport’s development at both national and international levels.
PSAT operates through a diverse membership base that includes 55 university and school affiliates, along with 17 clubs, creating a strong foundation for grassroots and competitive development. The federation supports a robust national system comprising 282 national athletes, 68 national coaches, and 60 national referees/jurors, ensuring high standards in training, coaching, and officiating.
Recognized by the National Olympic Committee of Thailand, PSAT plays a vital role in organizing competitions, developing talent, and representing Thailand in regional and global Pencak Silat events. Through its structured programs and committed leadership, the association continues to promote Pencak Silat as both a cultural martial art and a competitive sport, strengthening its presence in Thailand and the international arena.
