About Federation

The Korea Pencak Silat Federation (KPSF) is the official body responsible for the promotion and development of Pencak Silat in South Korea. Established in 2014, the federation has steadily built a structured and growing Silat community in the country.

Since its inception, KPSF has trained over 3,000 practitioners, with a current active base of approximately 200 athletes. The federation consists of 5 member organizations (perguruans) and is supported by 20 coaches, ensuring a strong foundation for athlete development.

KPSF has also developed significant technical expertise, with 6 internationally recognized referees (7 male officials) and a growing number of certified coaches, including both male and female instructors.

As an Associated Member of PERSILAT, the federation actively participates in international competitions, including World Pencak Silat Championships, contributing to the global expansion of the sport.

Through continuous development, structured training, and international engagement, the Korea Pencak Silat Federation is playing an important role in establishing Pencak Silat in East Asia.
