The Lao National Pencak Silat Federation is the official governing body responsible for the promotion and development of Pencak Silat in Laos. Established in 1993, the federation has been instrumental in introducing and developing the sport within the country.
A major milestone in its journey was achieved on 30 August 2019, when it received official recognition from the Lao National Olympic Committee. This recognition strengthened the federation’s institutional standing and enabled greater participation in regional and international sporting events.
Under the leadership of its President and Secretary General, the federation continues to work towards expanding the reach of Pencak Silat, promoting athlete development, and preserving the cultural and sporting values of this traditional martial art. Through its ongoing efforts, it contributes to the growth of Pencak Silat in Laos and its integration into the global Silat community.
