Since 23 January 2017 to the present, Pencak Silat has been actively developing in the Kyrgyz Republic under the supervision of the State Agency for Youth Affairs, Physical Culture and Sports. A major milestone was achieved on 26 February 2020, when Pencak Silat was officially included in the national register of sports and sports disciplines of the country, granting it formal recognition and paving the way for structured growth.
The sport has since established a solid foundation, with approximately 1,000 athletes actively participating across the country. This development is supported by 13 coaches, along with 5 referees and 5 jurors, ensuring both technical training and officiating standards are maintained.
Through institutional recognition and growing participation, Pencak Silat continues to expand in the Kyrgyz Republic, contributing to youth development, physical culture, and international sporting engagement.
