The Japan Pencak Silat Federation (JAPSF) is the national governing body for Pencak Silat in Japan, dedicated to the development, promotion, and international advancement of Pencak Silat as both a traditional martial art and competitive sport.
JAPSF serves as Japan’s national federation within the international Pencak Silat movement and works to establish a strong and unified national structure for athletes, instructors, clubs, and organizations throughout Japan. The federation aims to expand opportunities for Japanese athletes to participate in domestic and international competitions, including World Pencak Silat Championships and other officially recognized international events. Japan is currently listed among the national members of the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT/IPSF).
