The Iran Pencak Silat Federation is the official body responsible for the promotion and development of Pencak Silat in Iran. The formal introduction of Pencak Silat in Iran dates back to 2009, when representation rights were granted to Homayoun Khorram by PERSILAT on 21 June 2009.
Following this recognition, the discipline was officially registered under the national Kung Fu Federation on 4 July 2009, granting it legal status and permission to operate within the country. This marked the beginning of the structured development and spread of Pencak Silat in Iran.
Since its establishment, the federation has focused on expanding awareness, building athlete pathways, and promoting the sport at both national and international levels. Through its leadership and alignment with global standards, the Iran Pencak Silat Federation continues to contribute to the growth of Pencak Silat in the region and its integration into the international Silat community.
