About Federation

Indian Pencak Silat Federation (IPSF) is the apex national body governing and promoting the martial art–sport of Pencak Silat across India. Dedicated to excellence, discipline, and cultural heritage, IPSF works to develop Pencak Silat as a competitive sport while preserving its traditional values and philosophy. IPSF is responsible for organizing national championships, training camps, coaching and refereeing courses, and talent identification programs across the country. The Federation actively nurtures athletes from grassroots to elite levels, creating structured pathways for youth, senior, and women athletes to excel at national and international arenas. Committed to international standards and fair play, IPSF facilitates India’s participation in Asian and World Pencak Silat Championships, enabling Indian athletes to represent the nation with pride on global platforms. Through collaboration with state associations, educational institutions, and sports authorities, IPSF ensures transparent governance, technical advancement, and inclusive growth of the sport. Beyond competition, IPSF recognizes Pencak Silat as a powerful tool for character building, self-discipline, physical fitness, and cultural exchange. The Federation continues to work toward expanding the sport’s reach across urban and rural India, empowering youth and promoting unity through sport. Indian Pencak Silat Federation stands committed to shaping world-class athletes, strengthening international sporting relations, and contributing to the global Pencak Silat movement with integrity and vision.
