About Federation

African Pencak Silat Federation is the official continental governing body responsible for the development, promotion, and regulation of Pencak Silat across Africa. It operates under the guidance and recognition of the International Pencak Silat Federation (PERSILAT), ensuring that all activities and standards align with international rules and best practices.

APSF is committed to fostering the growth of Pencak Silat as both a competitive sport and a cultural heritage martial art. The federation works closely with national federations across African countries to organize continental championships, training programs, coaching certifications, and referee development initiatives. Through these efforts, APSF aims to create a strong and unified platform for athletes to excel at regional, continental, and global levels.

In addition to sporting excellence, the African Pencak Silat Federation promotes values such as discipline, respect, cultural exchange, and youth empowerment. It actively encourages participation among men, women, and youth, contributing to social development and international sports integration across the continent.

By building structured pathways for athletes and officials, APSF plays a vital role in elevating Africa’s presence in international Pencak Silat competitions and strengthening the global Silat community.
